Sunnydene guest house was built in 1863 and was one of the first properties built on this site, the land it stands on was reclaimed from sand dunes, the closest public house the Golfers Arms did not get built until 1904, in the 1960's there were hundreds of guest houses in this area, today there are only 8 or 9. Sunnydene has been run as a guest house for more than 60 years, over the years it has been altered to maintain the needs of the customer and keep up with the times, there used to be 18 bedrooms with no en-suites, today we have 12 bedrooms all with en suite shower rooms, we have one room on the ground floor ideal for disabled people, the room has a wheelchair accessible wet room.


Sunnydene is a family run guest house and you will be sure of a warm welcome, our guest house located near north beach Great Yarmouth, Sunnydene is perfectly located for exploring Great Yarmouth and the Norfolk broads, the bus service that runs from Caister to the town centre then on to Gorleston and the local hospital, runs every 10 - 15 minutes in the summer months and every 20 minutes out of season, there are bus stops very close to Sunnydene.


Great Yarmouth is located on a sandbank between the North Sea and the river Yare, with the Norfolk Broads along the coastline . You'll find lovely seaside towns and villages all along the coastline, dotted with windmills, there are lots of museums enabling you to explore Great Yarmouth's historic past.

Great Yarmouth's golden beaches cover a total of 15 miles and form a beautiful coastline with something to for everyone, there are quiet deserted beaches with sand dunes where dog walkers are welcome all year, to traditional seaside beaches with bouncy castles, deck chairs and donkey rides. Don't miss the golden mile along Great Yarmouth seafront when you visit.

 

Great Yarmouth itself, with Britannia Pier to the north and Wellington Pier to the south, Central Beach stretches along the Golden Mile of seafront amusements, entertainment and attractions with plenty of restaurants and cafés, making it one of the best places to visit. Gorleston-on-Sea with its huge bay, children's paddling pool and yacht pond is a firm family favorite.


We offer rooms for short breaks to week long holidays, we provide bed and breakfast accommodation, with bar snacks available in the evenings (summer only), located in the quieter part of Great Yarmouth you are assured of a good night's sleep in the guest house.
