Fritton lake is a beautiful lake about 2 miles long this forms the main part of a country park just south of the main A143.
It is believed that the lake was formed by medieval peat cutters and became noted for its duck decoys. Long tunnel shaped nets along which wild duck were lured before being killed, this practice ceased in 1960.
Boats can be hire from the jetty visitors can see a large variety of wild fowl.
